SAT Question of the Day Explained – Feburary 5, 2014 – Identifying Sentence Errors

Today’s SAT question of the day is an identifying sentence errors (writing) question about meteorites.  When we read the sentence, it’s pretty easy to “hear” that something is wrong, but what is it?

The sentence talks about different kinds of meteorites, including a non-underlined section that mentions giants – plural.  The problem, then, is in choice A – we can’t have just one meteorite, we have to have more than one.

A good correction would be to begin the sentence with “Meteorites show….”
