Today’s SAT question of the day is a math question about time.
A quick review:
- 60 seconds make one minute
- 60 minutes make one hour
- 24 hours make one day
We need to figure out what time it will be 253 hours after Saturday at 4 pm.
253 hours is 10 days (24 * 10 = 240) and 13 hours.
Ten days after Saturday at 4pm is Tuesday at 4pm (count on your fingers if you have to…no judging on test day). We still have to add 13 hours.
From 4pm to midnight is 8 hours. 13 – 8 is 5, so we have to go 5 hours into Wednesday. The correct answer is 5 am on Wednesday, or E.
