Today’s SAT question of the day is an improving sentences question about comparison.  The sentence, as it is presented, compares Heather to Joanne’s fear of spiders. The correct answer will compare Heather to Joanne, because we have to compare apples to apple and people to people.  C, D, and E talk about Joanne, but only D starts the next clause with her name (C has fear as its subject, and E has spiders as its subject).  D is the perfect answer!
